What is the Jazz Band Brawl?

The battle of bands date back to 1930's Savoy ballroom where the house band would take on traveling bands or bands that would be competition at other places on other nights. Battles such as those are still talked about in the jazz community. Benny Goodman versus the house band of Chic Webb and Duke Ellington or Count Baise battling the house. Many names became big at these events.

How does that work?

Song for Song.
Blow for blow.
Three parts overall band, individual brawlers, under pressure round where its all out war.
Same song both bands.

Organization

Who is behind all this?

I am Darold Alexander, an American Swing dancer born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. I have been wrestling and doing martial arts for close to a decade and was a collegic competitor, when I broke my ribs. Not long after I healed I started swing dancing or for the proper term doing the Lindy hop. I've been planning events and weekly swing dances for two years and this is going to be my biggest idea since I've learned what Lindy hopping was. Being from this city and being here when it was at its lowest I've become a believer in dreams not dying.
